⇲ Josh Hall is a writer, editorial director, and artist-publisher. He runs Possible Worlds, an independent publishing house and project space in Great Yarmouth, UK, producing physical and digital publications that explore new ways to create and share meaning.
As a freelance journalist Josh Hall writes extensively on decentralisation, web3, and data justice, as well as arts and culture topics. This work has appeared in almost every UK national newspaper, dozens of magazines and specialist publications, Parliamentary reports, and corporate editorial campaigns.
⇉ In recent years Josh has worked with organisations experimenting with decentralisation, culture, and creators’ rights, providing editorial direction, product development, and strategic consultancy. Josh has previously held senior in-house positions on both client and agency side, including as an Editorial Director at VICE’s creative services agency, and has consulted on publishing projects for organisations including Frieze, Gucci, and Red Bull.
Josh has exhibited nationally, including with The Photographers' Gallery London, the University of East Anglia, and PrimeYarc Great Yarmouth. He has lectured on digital publishing at institutions including Central Saint Martins/University of the Arts London, and has appeared on panels at festivals and conferences across Europe. In 2017 his essay A Brief Period Of Turbulence was longlisted for the Notting Hill Editions Prize. Having spent 15 years living and working in London and Berlin, he is now based in Great Yarmouth, on the east coast of England. He continues to publish widely. ␥
